Herbal Astrology has been practiced at least since Greco-Roman times with evidence in the earliest De Materia Medica work by Dioscorides.
It can tell a lot about the nature of your health condition and point out which specific plants might be the most powerful effective to use.

Rooted in Greek and Hermetic traditions it was still practiced in Western Europe in the 16th and 17th century by herbalists such as Nicholas Culpeper.
We look at specific astrological charts around the onset or diagnosis of illness and work with a schedule of planets that are each associated with specific herbs to hone your prescription.
This process is called decumbriture and I have been trained in using it in the diagnostic and therapeutic process my herbal practice by Elizabeth Brookes and Stephen Taylor as my tutors. Also my lifelong interest and study of astrology in combination with depth psychology has informed the practice deeply.
Working with a decumbriture chart is an add-on to a herbal medcine consultation.
The process has been incredibly interesting and I have a totally new and deeper relationship to the plants I am using.

How does a decumbriture unfold?

Chart Creation & Interpretation
Duration: 30 min – 1h
Prior to your first herbal medicine consultation I will create an astrological chart referring to either the onset of your health problems (if known) or the date of our first contact.
During our time together we will then look at this chart and I will explain the information contained there-in.
I will delineate which herbs correspond to certain planets and we will hone your herbal prescription with emphesis on the planets and related herbs that have been revaled in the chart.
You will take the chart home with you so you can connect further with either plants or planets.
